The term “boots on the ground” is a military term used to describe soldiers who are engaged in active combat rather than just being at war. These soldiers have already been trained to engage the enemy.

I believe this term speaks about us as Christians in the Lord’s army as well. We are warriors of God, who the Lord has been training for battle, and are about to be released. We are being released to engage the enemy in the spiritual realm. As Christians we all have our place in the Lord’s army…every gift, every calling has a purpose; to destroy the works of the evil one! We will be able to do this by being submitted to the Lord, on every level.

The Lord equips those he calls, we only need to answer His call, and allow Him to work through us, and he will strengthen us, and give us all we need to be victorious. Church, its time to engage, it’s time to step into the enemies territory, its time for boots on the ground!

“Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruning hooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong”.
JOEL 3:10
